Cactus Garden - Jardín de Cactus
The Cactus Garden is a great place for relaxation and for discovering the wide variety of cactus species from five continents. Cactus lovers as well as Instagram lovers find themselves in the garden. Is it too windy on the beach? Take a car and discover beauty of Jardín de Cactus.
The Garden is situated in Gautiza, near LZ-1. It is also a work of art of the Lanzarote’s artist César Manrique. It is a closed area built from volcano rocks where you can admire hundreds of cactus.
If you want to take the best picture of the Cactus Garden climb up to the windmill from where you can see the whole garden and its neighbourhood. The prickly pear (opuntia) is planted nearby.
César Manrique always thought about the tourists. He knew that they are all the time hungry and like enjoying their coffee with a good view. You can find convenient café in every attraction created by Lanzarote’s most famous artist. The cafés offer same menu for same price in Jardín de Cactus, Jameos de Agua as well as in Mirador del Río.
